Old houses in Coral Gables need careful wiring.
Panel upgrades, rewiring, lighting and chargers for Coral Gables homes, with city permits handled.

Coral Gables has some of the oldest houses we work in. Many of them are beautiful and many have wiring that has been patched by several different people over several different decades. That makes it worth taking the time to find out what is really in the walls before quoting.
Typical jobs here are panel and service upgrades, replacing old circuits, new lighting in renovated rooms, and chargers for homes that only have street or driveway parking.
Coral Gables is north of our shop, about a half-hour drive depending on US-1.
The houses in Coral Gables
The city's oldest neighborhoods date from the 1920s, with Mediterranean Revival homes in stucco and barrel tile, followed by later ranch and mid-century houses. The older homes can still have original or very old wiring alongside newer additions, and plaster walls that call for more careful work than drywall.
What we keep an eye on here
Old houses and heavy summer use are a hard combination. Circuits that were fine for a 1920s household now carry window units or central air, kitchen appliances and electronics. Trees across the city also mean storm outages, so generator hookups come up here too.
Permits in Coral Gables
Coral Gables has its own building department and is strict about permits. Some homes are designated historic, and visible exterior changes such as moving a meter or adding a generator can need sign-off from the city's historic preservation staff. We check that before we start.
What Coral Gables calls us for most
- Panel upgrades and replacements. New breaker panels, 100 to 200 amp service changes, and the permit, inspection and utility coordination that come with them.
- Recessed, outdoor and fixture lighting. Recessed lights, new fixtures, ceiling fans, flood lights and outdoor lighting, installed with as little drywall damage as possible.
- Troubleshooting and repairs. Dead outlets, burnt wiring, tripping breakers, pump circuits and anything else that stopped working. Diagnosed properly, often the same day.
Around Coral Gables
We work around Miracle Mile, Granada Boulevard, the Biltmore, US-1 and Old Cutler Road, and in Pinecrest and Kendall next door.
Electrical work in Coral Gables? Call Manny.
For most electrical work beyond swapping a fixture, yes, and Coral Gables enforces it. We pull permits through the city and meet the inspector.
Usually, yes. Inside the house it is mostly normal electrical work done carefully. Visible exterior changes can need historic review first, and we find that out before we quote. Call (786) 299-2168.
